Maritime Project Manager Mechanical & Electrical
To apply for the mechanical position, you should have extensive knowledge of maritime mechanical installations, HVAC & Plumbing and other systems. The electrical position requires extensive knowledge in networks, UPS and other electrical systems onboard a ship.
- Estimate and sell plan/spec projects and design-build projects.
- Make cost estimations, plans and manage and coordinate projects from conception to completion.
- Understand all projects in-depth to estimate labor requirement, order materials/equipment, issue subcontracts if necessary.
- Work in conjunction with project supervisors coordinate workers and subcontractors.
- Complete and manage all project RFQ’s, change orders, submittals, and etc… Ensure all project team members are fully informed.
- Oversee all onsite and offsite works to monitor compliance with customers requirement, and safety regulations.
- Ensure contractual conditions of performance and documentation are met.
- This position requires occasionally traveling to worksites/cruise ships all over the world.
Requirement and skills;
- Proven working experience in maritime construction management.
- Relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
- Familiarity with construction/ERP management software packages. Overall strong computer skills.
- Ability to plan, coordinate and see the “big picture”.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Leadership and human resources management skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills.
- Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with multiple priorities.
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
